These were the first otc hearing aids that can be configured to an audiogram. My professional hearing aids are old. I have couple of otc hearing aids which are just amplifiers. So after trying these, I was amazed. First, these are just simple amplifiers out of the box. The aids require a mobile app that needs an account created. It then unlocks all the settings. The quality is not like my professional ones but close enough. If you do not want to spend so much on professional aids, these are great alternatives. Once you get your audiogram, the real personalization starts.
I have severe hearing loss due to family genetics, I purchased Phonak hearing aids 5 years ago that cost $6,000 that could be paired to my phone; however we live in a rural area & going into the office for adjustments was an hour drive each way. These hearing aids are much better & easier to use. Great value for the money. I did contact company for help in pairing these to my phone & had no further issues pairing them.
Impressive. The case to the hearing aids is very solid and acts as a charger for the hearing aids.They connected easily to Bluetooth and it's intuitive to adjust and customize the settings. They're really lightweight and I appreciate the delay between turning them on and the aid kicking in. The battery life is good, no issues with a full day of wear. The wire makes them very easy to insert and remove. Very nice quality and decent for an over the counter item.
I've tried a number of these and these do surpass most. I've never been able to try prescription but these are very good. They're much better than the 'hearing amplifiers' I've tried. I don't know that they'd be perfect for severe loss. I find that for mild to moderate I think these make a decent bit of difference; these worked well for me.
These hearing aids were amazingly easy to set up and adjust. They perform far better than the previous pair which I wore, are easier to adjust, and cost a great deal less than the others which I'd purchased.
