Meet Auracast - The Future of Listening with RIC800

Meet Auracast - The Future of Listening with RIC800
Our latest hearing aids RIC800 are designed with Bluetooth LE Audio, the underlying technology that will support Auracast.

What is Auracast?

Auracast is a new wireless audio broadcasting technology introduced as part of Bluetooth LE Audio in Bluetooth 5.2. Unlike traditional Bluetooth, which only allows one-to-one connections, Auracast enables one-to-many audio sharing, meaning a single audio source can broadcast to an unlimited number of nearby receivers.

How can it help in real life?

Auracast can make everyday listening much clearer and more convenient for people with hearing loss:

In public spaces: Picture walking into an airport and hearing flight announcements directly in your hearing aids, or working out at the gym and connecting your hearing aids directly to the TVs for clear sound.
In entertainment venues: Theaters and concert halls can stream high-quality sound directly to your hearing aids, overcoming common acoustic challenges such as echoes, distance from the stage, and background noise.
At home: Family members can all connect to the TV or music system at once, each listening at their own comfortable volume without disturbing others.
In short, Auracast is designed to make listening in public and private spaces more seamless, personalized, and accessible.

Direct connection in the future

Auracast support for broadcasting and receiving will be introduced gradually over the next few years as more devices and venues adopt the technology. Once it becomes available, our hearing aid users will be able to join public broadcasts effortlessly with a simple tap on their phone or device.
